Five Cups
The first three virtues : Harmony, Reverence and Purity are qualities we can cultivate.
They are in the Tea, but they are also within us.
The fourth virtue : Tranquility is like Grace and it arises.
It is in all Tea but it is a quality that is more mysterious and elusive.
Yet, in practicing the first three virtues, Tranquility arises more often.
There is not goal or aim but presence and allowance.
Focus on practicing the first three virtues and the fourth virtue will come : naturally and effortlessly.
Having experienced this practice, there is no stopping.
To maintain the qualities of the virtues requires sharing.
So share your practice and your Tea.
This is the tradition of service.
It's about what you give. It's about sharing.
Tea. Love. Time. Tea
